The Grassin 2-Seater Bench closely resembles the benches made in France in the 19th century. It is recognisable by its cast-iron claw feet and the Grassin badges on its sides.

Grassin was one of the makers of wrought iron garden furniture in Arras in the late 19th century, alongside better-known names such as Saint-Sauveur. Antique Grassin pieces, with their cast-iron feet, are found today at specialist dealers in France and abroad.
