Vintage Arras Tree Bench

A rare French Arras tree bench, handcrafted in wrought and riveted iron, with the signature cast-iron hoof feet and its original brass maker's badge. Beautifully curved to wrap around a tree or to serve as a garden centrepiece, it shows the distinctive craftsmanship of the Arras foundries of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

An aged patina and traces of old paint highlight its authentic vintage character. This is a single, one-of-a-kind piece. For a new piece made to order in your colour, see our Arras Tree Bench.

Tree benches were a speciality of the Arras ironworks, which furnished French parks and country estates from the mid-19th century to the 1920s. Original examples like this one have become rare and are highly prized by collectors.
