Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering, delivery and our handcrafted wrought iron furniture.

Ordering & payment

How do I place an order?

Add the pieces you like to your cart and place your order – no payment is required at this stage. Within 24 hours, we email you the exact delivery cost and your invoice. You pay only once you have reviewed and approved the total. See how ordering works →

Why is the delivery cost not shown at checkout?

Our pieces are large, heavy and made to order, so delivery is calculated individually for each order, based on the products and your delivery address. This way you only pay the real transport cost, with no hidden margins.

When and how do I pay?

Only after you have approved your invoice. The payment details are included in the invoice we email you.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. If you decide not to proceed after receiving your invoice, simply reply to our email and we will cancel your order. You will not be charged.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes, the prices shown on our website include VAT. Delivery is quoted separately on your invoice.

For professionals

Do you offer trade prices?

Yes. We offer trade pricing for interior designers, architects, landscape designers, hotels, restaurants and resellers. Request our trade price list.

Production & delivery

How long does it take to receive my order?

Each piece is handcrafted to order, so production typically takes 3–5 weeks, depending on the products and finishes selected. Delivery time is then added, depending on your location.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Europe and to the United Kingdom. Delivery is quoted individually for every order.

How is my furniture delivered?

We work with trusted carriers. Once your order is ready for dispatch, the carrier contacts you to arrange the delivery. Please check your delivery before signing for it.

Our furniture

Is your furniture made of real wrought iron?

Yes. Every piece is forged and riveted by hand in our family workshop, where three generations of blacksmiths have worked since the 1950s.

Are your Arras pieces original antiques?

No. Our Arras pieces are new reproductions, handmade in the style of 19th-century French garden furniture and built for everyday outdoor use. From time to time we also offer genuine vintage pieces, which are always clearly described as such.

Which colours are available?

Our standard colours are Pure White RAL 9010, Jet Black RAL 9005, Reseda Green RAL 6011, Moss Green RAL 6005, Wine Red RAL 3005, Pebble Grey RAL 7032, Anthracite Grey RAL 7016 and Chocolate Brown RAL 8017.

Any other RAL Classic colour is available on request.

What is hot-dip galvanisation and do I need it?

Hot-dip galvanisation means immersing each metal piece in molten zinc before painting. It gives long-lasting protection and is recommended if your furniture will stay outdoors all year round.

Galvanisation does not change the final look of your furniture.

Can you make custom sizes or designs?

Yes. We regularly make custom lengths, sizes and designs for gardens, terraces, hotels and restaurants. Write to us at ironexgarden@gmail.com with your project.
